I was having this same problem and then I started using the seamless switching mode. What I found from this mode is that it allows the viewer to make a selection, however the clip does not change to the next one until the clip is finished playing. With this I was able to seamlessly connect the music between clips.

I have a song that plays in the background throughout my adventr, and I am trying to figure out a way to make my adventr so that when it transitions from clip to clip the music stays continuous and does not jump forward in time. I assume it has something to do with the switching modes, but I haven't been able to figure out the best option for this.
